Swans are mostly very peaceful animals, but in spring the males become very territorial and try to scare other big water birds out of the lake they consider to be their own. This one just spotted a Canada goose and is rushing straight towards it.

This little duckling is already a few weeks old and lives in a lake with a lot of duckweed. After having had a snack, some of it is still on his beak looking almost like a cloverleaf.
