White swan babies look almost like black swan babies in their first weeks to months. Later on, they lose their plushy fur and grow real white feathers. This one is a few weeks old and playing in the mud with his siblings and parents.

Adult black swans look adorable and their cygnets as well. But it’s even better to see them together on a lake swimming in sunset.

A dunnock always looks a bit aggressive and excited. I found this one in a park sitting right next to a red robin on a hedge. Despite their look, they seem to get along really well.

Most black cygnets are born in spring, but when a couple looses their young babies in spring, they sometimes breed a second time in summer. These two black cygnets were born rather late and are out for a walk on the field in fall now.
