Grey herons with neighbours
Two grey heron families decided to nest right next to each other. While one of the family has only a single chick and one of the parents stays at home, the other family has 3 chicks and the parents are out, probably getting food for their offspring. See it on YouTube.

Cygnet right after hatching
Baby swans are known for being very fluffy, but right after they hatched, their fur looks wet and sticky. It will take a few hours for the one on the left until his fur is clean and he looks like his siblings.

In the heron nest
Young grey herons spend the first weeks and months of their life in the nest. Their parents spend their time hunting and come by to feed them. The kids are always happy to see them and get fed.
